Sarah Cassidy is a writer, script reader and teacher of media. Sarah’s episode of CBBC Tales from Malory Towers is available on BBC Sounds https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p09rvsx4, and she was CBBC Writersroom’ New Voices’ class of 2020.
Her stage plays were produced at Liverpool Playhouse, 53Two, Hyde Festival Theatre and The King’s Arms Theatre in Salford. Her debut play ‘Bleeding with Mother’ was published by WFTS Publications in 2017 and came runner-up for Best New Writing at the Greater Manchester Fringe Festival.
Selected for the inaugural London Screenwriters Festival Talent Campus in 2015 and subsequently the Liverpool Everyman Theatre’s Playwright Programme. Sarah wrote over one hundred episodes of ‘Station Road’, a radio soap which was broadcast on ALL FM 96.9 in Manchester. Sarah has been script reading for over five years, providing coverage for indie prodcos, producers, directors and individual writers.
Sarah Cassidy was born in Preston and has been living in Manchester for 26 years. She has two sons, two cats and one husband.
