Sarah is a writer of stage, radio, screen and is a published playwright.
She is currently part of the 2017/18 Liverpool Everyman Theatre Playwright Programme.
Sarah is a freelance script reader for an independent production company, and has provided script development support to undergraduate final year film students.
She has a Masters Degree in Television and Radio Scriptwriting from the University of Salford – class of 2014.
Whilst studying for her MA, Sarah gained her first professional broadcasting credit on BBC Radio 4 Extra satirical show Newsjack.
Sarah co-created and co-wrote Manchester’s community radio station ALL FM 96.9’s ACE funded soap opera ‘Station Road’ which gave her real experience of creating convincing characters, storyline with warmth and northern humour which appeals to a vast mainstream audience.
Sarah appeared as a speaker at London Screenwriters Festival 2016 on the ‘Write for the Stage and Get Produced Now’ session.
Sarah’s debut stage play Bleeding with Mother was part of the Greater Manchester Fringe Festival 2017, where it was runner up in the New Writing Award and shortlisted for Best Drama.
