Sarah Cassidy is an award-winning writer boasting over a decade of experience weaving narratives for the stage, screen, and audio platforms.
With a Masters degree in Television and Radio Scriptwriting and a teaching qualification, she imparts her wisdom to budding screenwriters at university level.
Sarah’s storytelling experience shines through her collaborations with Independent Television Production companies, local theatres, UK TV producers, and international script coverage services. She is genuinely passionate about crafting character-driven stories and finds joy in guiding new writers to hone their storytelling craft.
Sarah’s work has been brought to life by prestigious platforms such as BBC Radio 4 extra, Big Finish Productions, King Bert Productions, ALL FM, Liverpool Everyman Theatre, Wythenshawe FM, and Hyde Festival Theatre. Her debut stageplay “Bleeding with Mother” was even published by Write for the Stage Productions.
She is currently a dedicated selection committee member for The Bay International Film Festival, actively contributing to celebrating outstanding short films and filmmakers. Her commitment to this role showcases her passion for the art of storytelling and the advancement of artists in the industry.
Sarah was born in Preston, Lancashire. She lives in Manchester with three cats, two sons and one husband.
